Hazardous Locations (Explosive Gas Atmospheres): Protection and Wiring Methods
A one-day course intended for Electrical and Instrument Engineers, Technicians, Safety Codes Officers, Maintenance and Construction Electricians who work in facilities where flammable gases or vapours are a hazard. The course covers the hazardous location safety concepts as it relates to electrical and instrumentation equipment as required by the Canadian Electrical Code. A hands-on tutorial helps with interpreting hazardous location equipment markings.
Grounding Fundamentals
A two day course intended for Electrical and Instrument Engineers, Technicians and Maintenance Personnel who are responsible for the specification, design, installation and maintenance of power and control grounding systems in industrial facilities. The course covers power systems grounding, Canadian Electrical Code requirements related to bonding and grounding, static and lightning protection, grounding of control and instrumentation systems and the ground grid design of industrial facilities.
Hazardous Locations for Sales and Manufacturing Personnel
A one-day course intended for Product Design, Marketing and Sales personnel who manufacture or represent products for use in hazardous locations. The course covers the various hazardous location protection technologies, the product standards applicable and provides an overview of the product certifications process. Canadian, US and IEC and ATEX market requirements are covered.
